Handstand Health & Sports Medicine

Overview

TumbleTek is pleased to partner with Handstand Health & Sports Medicine. HHSM was founded in 2018 to bring what pro & collegiate level athletes experience to ametuer athletes & the everyday person-  personalized sports medicine care provided by Certified Athletic Trainers. We work with athletes from all sports and backgrounds, but specialize in treating artistic athletes such as gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders, divers, etc. We partner with TumbleTek to offer a truly unique rehab facility where sports medicine professionals, tumbling & dance studios, and gymnastics coaches are all under the same roof. This allows us to offer detailed “return to tumbling” progressions & programs to our tumbling clients to take them from injury back to 100% participation in their sport.

HHSM's Athletic Trainers are on site & serve as TumbleTek's primary resource for initial assessment and care for any injuries that may occur during TumbleTek classes.   HHSM's AT's will promote optimal health and safety, provide emergency medical coverage, injury prevention and early recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation to return to full participation in tumbling, dance, cheer, and other athletic pursuits.

Sarah is a Certified Athletic Trainer, a B3 Sciences BFR certified coach, a USAG certified gymnastics coach, and the founder of Handstand Health & Sports Medicine.
--
She is a former level 10 gymnast with 15 plus years of coaching experience for all levels (from preschool to level 9/10). Sarah’s passion for gymnastics, teaching, and caring for others led her to pursue a career in sports medicine.  She obtained her B.S. in athletic training with nutrition minor from SUU and has been certified since 2013.  Sarah is a member of the National Athletic Training Association and has worked as an athletic trainer in a variety of settings, including a Division 1 University (BYU), event emergency medical coverage, and in private practice. As a competitive gymnast and a coach, Sarah saw a great need for better medical coverage in the gym and youth sports. Sarah founded Handstand Health and Sports Medicine (HHSM) in 2018 to offer quality and accessible sports medicine care to artistic athletes (gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders, divers, etc.) and the general public who don’t usually have access to a Certified Athletic Trainer.

In addition to meeting with sports medicine clients by appointment Sarah also serves as one of the Resident Athletic Trainers at TumbleTek providing emergency medical coverage for their athletes and as a tumbling coach.

Sarah cares about her athletes and loves helping people recognize their potential, make improvements, and optimize their health. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, rock climbing, ski/snowboarding, hiking, and participating in sprint triathlons.
